Metro Recycling to Plant Trees in Griffith Central Park 10/20 as Part of Commitment to Environment

When it comes to keeping the Earth clean, Metro Recycling doesn’t shirk its duties. On the contrary, as a recycling company they see it as part of their responsibilities to contribute a significant effort to maintaining a sustainable environment.

The first and most obvious place to act on that mission is in the communities they serve in Indiana and Illinois, which is why on Friday, October 20th at 10am, Metro Recycling will be planting three adult trees in Griffith Central Park. The Tree Planting Event will take place at the new playground in Central Park and add to the beauty and environmental stability of Griffith, Indiana.

Ecological stewardship is vital to Metro Recycling’s mission, so this event is important to them as they look to take care of the communities in which they work, which includes four recycling locations in Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland. Aside from important community events such as these, Metro Recycling also makes scrap metal and paper easier to recycle.

All of these things contribute to how Metro dedicates itself to their customers. Not just in the services they provide, but in planning for a brighter, greener future for communities all over the Region.

Come out this Friday and take part in making the community more sustainable by witnessing the planting of a new generation of trees for the children of Griffith to play under at Central Park near the corner of W Oak St and N Broad St!
