Thousands converged on the Greaber Family Farms in Valparaiso for the 2012 Northwest Indiana Mudathlon, the third year the annual mud/obstacle course race has held its event at the farms.

With over 2,000 participants and another 1,000-or-so spectators, the event was packed with people having a great time before, during and after the races. The mudathletes climbed, crawled, slid, and ran through the three-mile course, which featured 40 obstacles that challenged the runners.

“I had a great time, it was a lot more fun that I thought it would be,” explained Christine Fuller, a first-time participant in the Mudathlon. “I have already starting planning for next year’s event!”

The Muddy LIFERS were there in force, representing ValpoLife.com with a team of about 40 runners. We have over 600 photos up in a gallery that features some of the best photos we have taken at any event in our four years. Click here to check them out!
