Valparaiso Police Department Participating in DEA Take-Back Day
The Valparaiso Police Department will be participating in the annual Nationwide Prescription Drug Take-Back Day sponsored by The Drug Enforcement Administration (D.E.A.).
On Saturday October 29th the Valparaiso Police Department will be accepting unwanted prescription drugs at their police station located at 355 S. Washington St. The event will begin at 10 a.m. and conclude at 2 p.m.
The first Nationwide Prescription Drug Take Back Day in September of 2010 was a huge success for the Valparaiso Police Department. During that event over 200 pounds of prescription drugs were collected.
Numerous police departments from across the region will be participating in the national program.
