Nature in Symphony on January 31, 2015

collageWhen we visit nature in spring, summer, and fall all 5 senses are fully engaged and enjoyed. But while nature in winter is still beautiful to experience, our natural senses can still use a boost! Fortunately, many composers have felt the same thing, so they composed many musical experiences that partly or fully engage with nature. The result is a rich nature experience in the concert hall, listening to our living room stereo, or while running with a music player. In our session, we will experience many of the great compositions that help our senses experience nature even when we’re not in nature! We’ve all heard Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons”, but who knew there are so, so many other great compositions?
