Franciscan Alliance representatives joined with staff and local dignitaries recently for a blessing and dedication ceremony for a newly opened WorkingWell occupational health program site at 919 E. Grace St. in Rensselaer. WorkingWell, is the world’s first freestanding occupational health provider to receive the International Organization of Standardization certification. Among its non-injury-related services, WorkingWell offers a variety of screenings and physicals, as well as tuberculosis testing and employer assistance programs. Among injury-related services, it offers laceration repair and treatment for minor burns, sprains and strains, foreign bodies in the eyes, onsite ergonomic job analysis, work hardening functional capacity evaluations and injury prevention programs.
Since 2005, WorkingWell, which has eight locations, has provided health care services for all types of workers, including professional, industrial, police officers/PERF Physicals and firefighters/NFPA 1582 Physicals.
