HealthLinc (formerly Hilltop Community Health Center) is announcing the arrival of Dr. Tim Watkins at its Valparaiso office, and Dr. Aileen Puno at its Michigan City location.
Dr. Watkins will be HealthLinc’s new OB/GYN, servicing pre- and post-natal women. He received his medical training from the University of Michigan, and his residency was performed at St. Joseph’s Ann Arbor Mercy Health System.
Not only did Dr. Watkins have his own private practice for 12 years, but he also worked part time at an inner city clinic in Detroit. In addition, he also taught classes at the University of Michigan for five years.
Dr. Watkins’s personal motto fits in perfectly with HealthLinc’s mission statement: “It is real important to give care to those who need it most,” he said.
Dr. Aileen Puno will be the new pediatrician at HealthLinc’s Michigan City locale. Dr. Puno received her residency in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She attended medical school in the Philippines, at the University of Santo Tomas, and also had a private practice there at a medical clinic providing care to uninsured patients.
Dr. Puno’s personal motto: “Help people who need and can’t afford service.” “Our core medical services revolve around primary care,” explained HealthLinc Medical Director J. Timothy Ames. “For this reason, we’ve assembled a fantastic team of health care professionals to deliver a level of quality care that every person deserves, and we are confident that Dr. Bhoy and Dr. Delehanty will complement this team.” “Everyone deserves quality, affordable care regardless of their ability to pay,” concluded Wrobel. “And HealthLinc is that resource that responds to the needs of all.”
