The Pacesetters program is designed to provide an easy way for corporations to get more involved in their community. Pacesetter organizations select from a variety of giving back options help fulfill their community support goals while receiving increased recognition and employee engagement opportunities.

“By starting with the end in mind – service and connecting people to their community – we are challenging businesses to support United Way as a Pacesetter,” said Randy Zromkoski, Managing Member at Blachly, Tabor, Bozik & Hartman, LLC in Valparaiso. “United Way of Porter County is the philanthropic partner that I trust to recognize community need and step up to lead the way to support those who need it most.”

Zromkoski and his wife Jo Ellen are this year’s United Way Campaign Chairs. For more than 25 years the Zromkoskis have been involved in the community, supporting a variety of organizations like United Way.

“The importance of corporate social responsibility cannot be overstated,” said Kim Olesker, president & CEO of United Way of Porter County. “The Pacesetters program is a wonderful opportunity for area businesses to commit early to helping United Way stabilize families in our community. The more stabilized home life can be a more stabilized workforce we have.”

In the last year, United Way has supported 55 safety net programs, impacted more than 69,000 Northwest Indiana residents and connected more than 8,000 volunteers to area nonprofits. These programs ensure individuals and their families in crisis, whether education, financial or health receive the necessary support they need to get back on their feet.

Pacesetters will be recognized at the 2018 Day of Caring and Campaign Kick-off Breakfast on August 10 at 8 a.m. Pacesetter applications are now being accepted through Wednesday, July 11. To become a Pacesetter, contact Kasie Tenbarge at kasandra@unitedwaypc.org or visit www.unitedwaypc.org.
