This morning in a ceremony at City Hall, Valparaiso Police Chief Michael Brickner and City Administrator Bill Oeding swore to duty the newest member of the Valparaiso Police Department. James Bovy, 33 yrs old, was sworn to duty.
James is a resident of Valparaiso and a graduate of Valparaiso High School. He earned an Associates’ Degree from Purdue University after high school.
James previously had been working as a retail manager for a local business prior to being hired.
