On Friday, December 2, 2011, NIPSCO will mark the completion of a successful holiday giving campaign, which included a monetary donation to the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana that equates to providing 106 turkeys to Lake and Porter County households.
In addition to monetary donations, employees collected food items and Toys for Tots. The drives were part of a larger, company-wide initiative that spans all of NIPSCO's northern Indiana service territory. Across the territory, NIPSCO collected more than $16,000, plus eight barrels of food items for local food banks as well as more than 250 toys.
