NIPSCO EDImpact: October 2013

Sustainability. The word has long since become a buzzword of politicians and businesspeople alike, but that doesn’t mean the principle is any less important. Being able to use available resources in an efficient and responsible way isn’t just ecologically worthwhile anymore, either: as our technology has improved, so-called “green” improvements are keeping businesses in the black, too. Recent advances have pushed such improvements across the threshold from expensive gimmick to cost-effective investment, and this month NIPSCO ED Impact is taking a look at some of the ways local companies are utilizing these breakthroughs all around us.

The following are samples of sustainability efforts that we found among our territory but we know there are many more. Please write in and send photos along with a short caption or description, to cmoss- admave@nisource.com. We reserve the right to choose which photos or videos are used.
