The Complete Streets Workshop scheduled for this Friday in Portage has been postponed until Thursday, August 22nd to avoid conflicting with various holiday- and summer festivities. Please find attached a new agenda with updated information.

If you plan to attend on August 22nd, you do not need to take any action at this time—we will keep your registration information and look forward to seeing you then. If you are unable to attend on August 22nd, please let me know and I will remove you from our list.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we look forward to seeing most, if not all of you, in August!

NIRPC encourages your participation to THIS Friday’s (28th) Complete Streets Workshop. Last Thursday, the NIRPC Executive Board APPROVED the Complete Streets Design Manual as our official guidance. That said we strongly encourage you to take part next week to get acquainted to the standards we will be promoting on all NIRPC-attributable projects. The complete manual can be viewed online at:

As it states below, YOU GET ONE FULL POINT towards a future TAP or STP-1 application for your attendance. We are capping the number of attendees at 50…and yes, there WILL be a free lunch provided thanks to Alta Planning + Design from Chicago.

See you there!
