NorthShore Health Centers Providing Free Backpacks to Students at their ‘Back To School Health Fair’

With the 2016-2017 school year fast approaching, parents are scrambling to get all the supplies their kids will need for the upcoming year. Along with all the pencils, erasers and notebooks that every students needs to be prepared for class, parents are also scheduling doctor appointments to make sure their children have the required school physicals, sports physicals and immunizations.

As part of their Back to School Health Fair, NorthShore Health Centers is making things much easier this year by providing FREE backpacks plus supplies to every student who visits one of their Northwest Indiana locations to get their physical or immunizations.

Along with a free backpack, students will receive supplies such as pens, pencils, crayons, highlighter, pencil sharpener, erasers, glue stick, paper, folder, and ruler.

NorthShore’s Back to School Health Fair runs from July 1st to August 31st and if you’re uninsured or underinsured don’t worry because the total cost is only $25.

Medicaid patients are fully covered (MHS, Anthem, MDwise Excel Network) and other insurance plans pay no more than $25 out of pocket expense, including co-pay.
