Northwest Medical Group adds more physicians in Starke County

Northwest Health has announced the addition of healthcare providers in Starke County. In addition to primary care and cardiology they now offer gastroenterology, expanded general surgery and will soon offer hematology/oncology services to the community. Ashley Dickinson, CEO of Northwest Health said “It is our goal to continue recruiting healthcare providers to the Starke County, making it more convenient for area residents to get the care they need close to home.”

Dr. Alexander Igolnikov, gastroenterologist and Ashley Gascy, nurse practitioner, specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of digestive health conditions. Dr. Igolnikov has more than 20 years of experience.

Dr. Blake Hood, general surgeon, has office hours in Knox as he replaces general surgeon Mangalore Subba Rao, M.D., who retired in March.

In early May, Dr. Kalid Adab will begin practicing in Knox. Dr. Adab is a hematologist/oncologist, a physician who specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and/or prevention of blood diseases and cancers. Dr. Adab joined Northwest Medical Group in La Porte in 2020 and is expanding his presence into Starke County to better meet the needs of patients in the area.

The offices for all four providers are located at 104 E. Culver Road.

Other Northwest Medical Group members in Knox include specialists in family medicine, cardiology, obstetrics/gynecology, clinical psychology and certified midwives. In February, Northwest Medical announced the addition of primary care providers in Knox and North Judson. To learn more about these providers visit NWMedicalGroup.com.
