The Northwest Indiana Forum (Forum) will host a series of roundtables to tap in to the issues of business leadership in Northwest Indiana. The first of the series will be held in Starke County on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at the Knox Community Center (55 East Lake Street in Knox, Indiana).
Breakfast and networking will be held at 8:00am (Central) with a meeting and open discussion at 8:30am (Central). If you are a Forum member or business leader with an interest in attending the complimentary event, please contact Tiffany Bley at tbley@nwiforum.org or call 219/763-6303 ext 183.
The first roundtable is sponsored in part by the Starke County Development Foundation, a local economic development organization which assists in the creation, retention, and reinvestment of resources to improve the quality of life for Starke County citizens.
“The Roundtables are an opportunity for members and business leaders to provide feedback and insight on economic development, public policy and environmental issues that the Forum should address in order for Northwest Indiana to prosper,” said Vince Galbiati, President and CEO of the Forum. “As the voice of regional business leadership, the Forum must hear directly from individuals, their concerns and challenges faced, as well as ideas to foster growth and resolve problems.”
Northwest Indiana Forum Roundtables are being conducted by county for a more direct outreach and to provide a convenient meeting location for local members and business leaders. Upcoming Roundtables include Lake County (September 23, Indiana Welcome Center, Hammond, IN), LaPorte County (TBD) and Porter County (November 24, Harre Union, Valparaiso University, Valparaiso, IN).
Funded by membership contributions and grants, Forum membership translates into a direct investment in the region. The Northwest Indiana Forum is a non-profit economic development and business leadership organization serving Northwest Indiana (Lake, Porter, LaPorte and Starke Counties).
