NW Indiana Parrothead Club Event to Benefit OE

The Northwest Indiana Parrothead Club will celebrate its 10th birthday with a party on July 17 at the Valparaiso National Guard Armory, 1502 Linwood Avenue, Valparaiso. All proceeds from the event will support Opportunity Enterprises’ OE Lakeside capital campaign. nw-indiana-parrothead-club

Doors open at 3:00 PM with live music from 4:00 – 11:00 PM, featuring Piano Bob Heckler, singer songwriter Jim Hoehn, and The Boat Drunks. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door, and include a cheeseburger meal by Duffy’s Place, cash bar and drink specials, a silent auction, and 50/50 raffle. Proceeds from the event will be matched dollar for dollar by the Dean and Barbara White Family Foundation, and will support growth and development of Opportunity Enterprises’ Lakeside property. Acquired in 2007, OE Lakeside, a 158-acre parcel of land and water on Lake Eliza, currently houses two day service programs – Enriching Possibilities, which offers a variety of programs designed to fit the needs of individuals with multiple or severe disabilities, and the Renewed Horizons Adult Day Center, which provides a comprehensive and structured environment for senior adults with developmental disabilities. Together, these programs serve over 100 adults with disabilities each day.
