On Friday morning, representatives from Oak Partners, Inc. welcomed 85 of their clients and clients’ family members to the 8th Annual Garden Walk at the Shrine of Christ’s Passion in St. John. Attendees were able to walk the incredible grounds, all while interacting with people outside of the office.

“Today we’re hosting our 8th Annual Garden Walk,” said Crystal DeHaven, Director of Client Experience for Oak Partners. “Typically at our garden walks, we will have about 30 to 40 people, but we have 85 people attending today! There was definitely a strong interest, so we’re really excited we were able to host this event.”

This is one of many events Oak Partners hosts for its clients throughout the year. The company is dedicated to community education and outreach and holds a number of educational events to better its clients’ knowledge of topics like medicare, retirement, and wealth management.

“We do a lot of educational events throughout the year, so having the recreational events is really fun and different,” DeHaven said. “Our clients will often bring family members with that we haven’t met yet. So it also allows us to hang out with them and talk about non-business related things, such as family, friends, vacations, and so much more.”

Oak Partners provided a delicious breakfast spread of pastries, fruit, and coffee before the walk throughout the grounds began. Clients, families, and Oak Partners representatives mingled and chatted as they ate. When the walk began, everyone was divided into three groups, each led by a Shrine of Christ’s Passion tour guide. The guides led their guests through the gardens, stopping at each station of the cross.

The Shrine of Christ’s Passion’s grounds were peaceful and immaculate as guests made their way through Christ’s journey. It was the first year Oak Partners held their outing at Shrine of Christ’s Passion; a client recommended it, and it’s easy to say that the recommendation paid off.

“It’s so peaceful here and it’s such a nice place to have an outing like this,“ said Stephanie Grindey, Executive Assistant for Oak Partners. “It’s a fun day because it lets everyone meet each other and it also allows us to get to know everyone in a nice setting outside of the office.”

That peaceful setting was perfect for Oak Partners’ clients as they were introduced to people that they may not have met otherwise. Two clients, Daniel and Helene Trembicki, enjoyed the chance to spend a morning walking through the beautiful grounds and meeting people in their community.

“We’ve never been here before, but the grounds are beautiful,” said Mr. Trembicki. “It’s something different, something new for us to do. And not only that, but it brings everyone together and we get to meet different people.”

Throughout the year, Oak Partners is building relationships with clients, whether it’s through an educational event with a goal of broadening clients’ knowledge of complicated topics, or a relaxing event meant to get out of the office and enjoy the day.
