A new Valparaiso Police Officer was sworn to duty this morning at City Hall by Mayor Jon Costas.
Valparaiso native John Nuppnau, 22 yrs old, was sworn to duty this morning with family members and numerous Valparaiso Police Officers present. “Hiring new officers is one of the most important duties I have as police chief,” explained Chief Michael Brickner.
Officer Nappnau is a graduate of Valparaiso High School and a recent graduate of Purdue University. His training begins immediately at the department.
