OGA Stand Behind Healthy Transformation Program

In this day and age, it seems like adding more hours to the day would enable us to get everything done that we desire, right? We want to be productive at work, take care of our families, and have time to take care of ourselves – but there never seems to be enough time. So something has to go, and usually it's the time taken to care for oneself.

But it doesn't have to be that way any longer. Obstetrical & Gynecological Associates (OGA) have found a brilliant new program that will allow you to get that essential care for yourself that every woman needs. The program is called Healthy Transformation.

On Thursday November 14, at Porter Regional Hospital, the program was announced. The interest and curiosity that surrounded the newly revealed program filled the room as each speaker talked about the benefits and innovation of the program.

Liz Chael, Office Manager at OGA, RN, and Healthy Transformation Coordinator was one of the speakers. She is currently in the Healthy Transformation program, and she is living proof that the program works. Since starting Healthy Transformation this past July Chael has lost around 50 pounds, back issues that she once had are all but gone, and she just feels better as a whole.

Chael talked about her journey through the program, explained the food part of the program, and offered tips and tricks on how to get the most from the program.

“What I want to emphasize is that yes, you can do it,” Chael, said. “This is not only a program for weight loss, rapid weight loss initially, it's a healthy program. It's science based and it is the medicine of the future.”

Healthy Transformation isn't a fad diet. It's a lifestyle change that focuses on the correct foods to eat to reduce disease and maintain a healthy body composition. Though losing weight quickly is a boost to self-esteem, what happens when you take off the weight that you want to be rid of? How do you maintain? Healthy Transformation will help you with that as it is aimed at long-term success. It's a low-glycemic 12-week plan that was formulated based on the latest thorough scientific research that has been conducted.

The foods in the Healthy Transformation program are FDA regulated which means that they can only be administered by a licensed healthcare provider, and the program is tailored individually to each patient that takes part. The healthy eating guidelines are coupled with an emphasis on being active. Meal replacement shakes, bars, and premade foods are provided to help keep individuals on track throughout the program.

Samples of the meal replacement bars, shakes, soup, and the foods recommended for the program were available at the seminar for guests to partake in during and after the event.

The reason it was chosen is that those at OGA felt it a duty to their clients as well as themselves to provide a quality program that emphasizes healthy living. The program needed be safe, there needed to be scientific evidence that proved it worked, and the program had to allow the doctors and staff to be involved with the individuals who took part in it.

So they researched and tested many different integrated and functional medicine programs. The doctors and staff went to seminars, educational classes, they checked out the company that created Healthy Transformation – all to make sure that the program was sound.

Dr. Jennifer Murphy M.D. FACOG, who also works at OGA, was another speaker at the seminar.

“We felt that as physicians we were doing a disservice to our patience by not being able to offer a concrete program,” Dr. Murphy said. “A lot of times people will come to us saying 'I want to lose weight. I feel terrible. I feel tired.' And for a long time our answer was only, 'Yes, you need to lose weight. And yes find a program out there that you have heard a lot about that a lot of people have been using.' And a year later they come back and they are still the same weight if not more. So we began researching. We didn't want a gimmick, we didn't want it to hurt anybody, we wanted something scientific based. So this is what we found.”

In a study conducted to test the legitimacy of Healthy Transformation, 92 out of the 100 participants in the study lost around 7.5% of their body fat and retained lean body mass in just four weeks.

Many diseases like diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, stroke, Alzheimer's disease, stress-related disorders, etc. can be revered or avoided when someone leads a healthy lifestyle.
