St. Paul Lutheran Church of Kouts will hold an Open House on Sunday, February 23, 2014 from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM. The Open House will include tours of the new addition and renovations to the Church. St. Paul Lutheran Church is located at 507 South Rose Street in Kouts, Indiana. This free event is open to the Public, and refreshments will be served. The Church’s addition includes handicap accessible restrooms, a ramp from the original Church to the addition, and a private, “quiet” room, as well as the enlarged, handicap-accessible location for the Pleasant Township Food Pantry.
St. Paul Lutheran Church of Kouts was built in 1879 and is a member of the Missouri Synod. In October of 2013, the Church celebrated their 140th anniversary. The pastor is Reverent Robert W. Hauter. The missions of St. Paul Lutheran Church include the children’s River Ministries, junior/senior youth group, and adult bible study groups, as well as Vacation Bible School, which is held each summer. St. Paul Lutheran Church also hosts the Pleasant Township Food Pantry.
