Opportunity Enterprises Receives NAP Tax Credits

Opportunity Enterprises, Inc. is the recipient of $22,000 in Indiana State Tax Credits through the Neighborhood Assistance Program from the Indiana Housing & Community Development Authority. oe_logoThe Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) offers $2.5 million in tax credits annually for distribution by not-for-profit corporations. Opportunity Enterprises will use NAP tax credits as an incentive for donors, in order to leverage more contributions for Group Home rehabilitation projects.

Opportunity Enterprises currently operates seven Group Homes for more than 40 adults with disabilities in Porter County. Several of these homes are in need of renovations that will allow Opportunity Enterprises to better serve these adults. Through the Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP), a contribution to Opportunity Enterprises’ Group Homes of at least $100 enables the donor to receive 50 percent of the total contribution in tax credits.
