This is the first time these awards will be given. Earlier this year, Administrative and Professional Staff Advisory Committee (APSAC) and the Clerical and Service Staff Advisory Committee (CSSAC) suggested that an outstanding employee in each of the three employee classifications - clerical, service and Administrative/Professional be honored. Nominations were collected from throughout the PNC campus and award recipients are selected by a four-member committee.

When presenting the awards, PNC Chancellor Dr. James B. Dworkin noted, "Our greatest PNC resources are its human resources. Without the dedication and hard work by all faculty and staff, we would not be able to accomplish so many things during this past year. Together, everything is possible."
