Valparaiso Police will be enforcing city ordinance 72.51, which requires vehicles to be removed from city streets until both sides of the street have been plowed from curb to curb.
Valparaiso Police will be issuing citations to vehicles that are in violation of this ordinance. City ordinance requires vehicles be removed or vehicle owners risk their vehicles being towed from the street at their expense.
As of this morning city side streets remain snow covered and hazardous. Parked cars along side streets that have not had the snow removed from them increase the danger to other motorists and city crews attempting to clear the streets. If your vehicle is parked along a side street please remove the vehicle until the street has been cleared of snow.
