Valpo Parks is currently seeking a part-time customer service person. The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude, exceptional customer service skills, and excellent communication/interpersonal skills. Responsibilities include:
Assisting customers over the phone and in person by providing information and registration services for recreational programs
Directing phone calls for the department
Supporting administration and recreation staff functions as needed
Receipting of daily monetary transactions related to customer service
Completing projects for other staff such as collating publications, publishing marketing pieces, etc.
Assisting with clerical tasks, mailings, and program reports
Providing program support for recreation staff for special events
Work hours for this position are dependent on the seasonal fluctuations of the dept and would generally be between 15-20 hrs during fall/winter and up to 40 hours during spring/summer. Hours would generally fall into current Parks office hours of M-F from 8-5, but special events falling on evenings/weekends may also be requested.
