JC Penney in Valparaiso, IN awarded over $11,000 collected from their Annual "Pennies From Heaven" Campaign to Hilltop Neighborhood House. The money was collected from customers "rounded up" their purchases to the nearest dollar during 2011. The money will be used to provided scholarships for childcare to parents who are working or in school. Last year Hilltop Neighborhood House gave out over $165,000 in assistance to parents who otherwise may not have been able to afford childcare to keep working or go to school.
