People of Prudential: Nick Arnold

nick-arnoldA big smile and hardy handshake are what greeted me when I went to interview the next agent in the People of Prudential series. Nick Arnold is the agent in question, and he is a wonderful man.

Arnold is a long-time resident of Valparaiso. He loves to travel with his wife and spend time playing with his classic car, a 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass convertible.

"I enjoy anything that burns gasoline and diesel fuel and makes noise," Arnold said with a laugh.

He is a real estate agent at Prudential Executive Group Real Estate. As many have already stated, there is always something different happening every day. He said he does things that range from answering questions about title work, listing a home, heading out to evaluate a home, do comparative pricing for a home, follow up with clients about transactions, talk to appraisers, and many other things.

"It's generally a full day every time," Arnold said. "One good thing about this job is that you can do work from any location."

Other good things about Prudential are the people. Arnold stated that it is great to have people around who are always willing to help you. He stated that there is a high amount of professionalism and integrity at the company.

Before coming to Prudential, Arnold was an insurance claims manager. He was however, interested in the real estate industry. So when he had the chance to come to Prudential he took it.

"I thought that they were the leading real estate firm at the time and so I joined and have been here ever since," Arnold said. "I knew some of the agents already and I had known Larry Hitz beforehand, too."

"I like working with the agents here. If I need help with something, someone can help me with it or vice versa. The teamwork aspect is great," Arnold said.

Working with clients brings a good amount of satisfaction to Arnold. He stated that he loves being able to find homes for people and helping people move on with selling a home. He recognizes that each client is unique as is their situation, so helping them is a new experience every time.

"There is a lot of self-satisfaction that comes with the transaction process. Solving problems that looked like they were barriers is one example," Arnold said. "But my favorite part is seeing the satisfaction from the client."

This isn't the firsts time Arnold has been interviewed by someone from Ideas in Motion Media. A few years ago, our Publisher and CEO, Chris Mahlmann conducted a video interview with Arnold.
