Emerge South Shore’s mission is to identify the emerging leaders and young professionals of Northwest Indiana, connect them with each other and current leaders in the community, develop their ability to serve as community trustees, and engage them within the community. It is an initiative of the Legacy Foundation. A new organization, Emerge South Shore recently held a launch event in Crown Point in June, with over fifty attendees. The organization also completed a Habitat for Humanity build in East Chicago. Learn more about ESS by visiting them online at www.emergesouthshore.org or checking them out on Facebook.
