The conference brings together early childhood educators representing many roles -- teaching staff, program administrators, students, researchers and teacher educators, along with other professionals who interact with children during their early developmental years - mental health professionals, parents, day care workers, doctors and nurses.

The Early Learning Conference will begin at 8:30 am and conclude at 3:30 pm. The early bird registration fee is $55, due by March 31. After April 1, registration is $65. Admittance to the Family Fun Time event following the conference is included with the conference registration fee.

During the conference, participants will explore unique learning opportunities, develop skills that improve professional preparation and practice and discuss effective, active learning approaches to enhance effectiveness during this important developmental stage.

The theme, "I Spy Success," is woven throughout a fun-filled day with dynamic speakers, opportunities to explore new strategies and opportunities to connect and interact with colleagues.

The keynote speaker is Ashley Merryman, co-author of "NurtureShock: New Thinking About Children."

A family fun-time event will be from 3:30-4:30 pm, immediately following the conference, featuring Leonardo, a musical act full of positive energy, fun and optimism.

The Family Fun Time event is open to the public for $3 a ticket.
