The Purdue University North Central Astronomy Club will host the presentation "Living on the Edge: The Current Limits of Modern Astronomy" by Dr. Aaron Warren, PNC associate professor of Physics on Tuesday, April 17 at 11:30 a.m. in Schwarz Hall, Room 119. The event is free and open to the public.

Special guests will be students from Lake Hills Elementary school in Michigan City. Area teachers are welcome to bring their students for this informative, thought-provoking talk. There will be time for discussion and questions and answers.
With science, and astronomy in particular, progressing at an ever-increasing rate, incredible discoveries during the past 15 years have drastically altered the understanding of the origin, evolution and future of the universe. Warren's talk will introduce several revolutionary discoveries and ideas that are central to contemporary astrophysics, such as dark matter, dark energy, and inflation.
The Astronomy Club hosts talks and events throughout the academic year on topics centering on the field of Astronomy. The club welcomes persons of all interests who have a curiosity about Astronomy.
