The Purdue University North Central Financial Aid Office will sponsor a Financial Literacy event on Thursday, Oct. 23 at 11 a.m. in Library-Student-Faculty Building, Room 144. The seminar is free and open to all students who would like to know about financial literacy. Students are welcome to invite their parents to attend.
The seminar will be presented by Kyle Yelton, Financial Representative for Northwestern Mutual.
The topics covered include:
- Avoiding debt
- Protecting yourself from scams and fraud
- Planning (now and the future)
- Saving and investing
