PNC Now Site of Veteran’s Support Group Meetings

Purdue University North Central will be the site of support group meetings, offered free of charge to all veterans in Northwest Indiana. PNC

The support group will be facilitated by a licensed readjustment counselor. The support group will welcome veterans to discuss issues of concern including post traumatic stress disorder, marital strategies, depression, veteran's benefits and any other topic of concern to veterans in the group.

The support group will meet the first and third Thursdays of every month from 2 to 3 p.m. in Library-Student-faculty Building Room 170A, located adjacent to the cafeteria on the building's main floor.

PNC also hosts the office of a staff member to serve veterans and active service members with individual counseling, group counseling (based on need), couple and family counseling, benefits information and spouse and significant other support.

The Center will make referrals for services within VA and or community for alcohol and drug assessment, sexual trauma counseling, community education, liaison with VA facilities, referrals to community agencies and employment counseling and job referral.

The office is located in the Dean of Students Office suite, Room 103, located on the main floor of the Library-Student-Faculty Building. Veterans and their family members who have specific questions about services at this location, or who wish to schedule an appointment with the Vet Center staff at this location should contact Kevin Beatty at 219-736-5633.
