PNC Pre-Med Club Human Cadaver Prosection Program Meeting

PNCThe Purdue University North Central Pre-Med Club will host a presentation by Dr. Ernest Talarico, the Indiana University School of Medicine - Northwest assistant professor of Anatomy & Cell Biology and course director for Human Gross Anatomy and Embryology, on March 20 at 6 p.m. in Library-Student-Faculty Building Room 170A, located adjacent to the cafeteria.

Talarico will discuss the medical school's annual Summer International Human Cadaver Prosection Program, a hands-on experience that gives students the opportunity to learn human anatomy by dissection and radiology.

The program will also include a suturing workshop and prosthetics and orthotic limb workshop.

The event is open to anyone who wants to learn more about the Prosection Program. The International Human Cadaver Prosection Program is the only program in the country that allows non-physician and non-medical-student volunteers to become active participants in the gross anatomy lab.

Anyone interesting in attending should RSVP by Friday March 15 to Aaron Ciesielski, president of the PNC Pre-Med Club, at Aciesiel@pnc.edu.

Persons with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact the Office of Graduate and Extended Learning.
