PNC Students Host Discussion of “Fifty Shades of Grey”

Fifty-Shades-of-GreyThe Purdue University North Central Alpha Mu Pi Chapter of Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society will host a discussion of the E. L. James novel, "Fifty Shades of Grey," on Thursday, Sept. 20, at 6:30 p.m. in the Library-Student-Faculty Building Room 144. The discussion, recommended for mature audiences, is open to the public.

Questions for consideration include why people everywhere seem to be reading and talking about this best-selling novel, the first novel of the popular trilogy; whether the relationship between the main characters is an accurate representation of 21st-century love and whether the novel would have been received differently if written by a man.

Light refreshments will be served.

Sigma Tau Delta promotes interest in literacy and literature on local campuses and in the surrounding community.
