PNC Students Organize Costumes’N Cornhole Fundraiser

PNC-StatuePurdue University North Central students in the Organizational Leadership Team Development class will host a Costumes'N Cornhole fundraiser on Sunday, Oct. 28 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Canine Country Club at 3554 Sturdy Road, Valparaiso, to help support the Porter County Animal Shelter.

Activities will include a cornhole tournament with an entry fee of $20 per team. The event has a 32-team maximum. A variety of prizes will be awarded.

Pets are welcome to attend. There will be a costume contest for humans and animals with an entry fee of $5 for Humans and $2 for animals. Prizes will be awarded to the winner. A photographer will be taking photos too.

Homemade dog treats and pet toys will be for sale.

Students in the Team Development class, taught by Dr. E. Anne Christo-Baker, assistant professor of Organizational Behavior and Leadership, are asked to complete a community service project and David Hefty, of Valparaiso; Megan Dwyer, of Valparaiso; Tom Glenn, of North Judson and Rebecca Tucker, of Valparaiso, decided to complete a project that would help animals. The students will donate all proceeds from their event to the Porter County Animal Shelter.
