Point. Click. Give!

Point-Click-Give-2012Your gift to 17 local nonprofits is matched on Nov. 8 only

  • A single mom and her two boys are evicted when her fiancé suddenly leaves them.
  • A developmentally challenged man finds himself alone after the death of his mother.
  • An 80-year-old man struggles to maintain the home he worked so hard to purchase 50 years ago.

Where do people turn? In Porter County 17 nonprofit agencies serve those struggling to find shelter. “People are shocked to learn that homelessness is very real in Porter County,” said Barb Young, President of the Porter County Community Foundation. “In a typical month, more than 200 people are homeless in Porter County and half of them are children,” she said.

Introducing Porter County GIVE Day

To help end homelessness, the Porter County Community Foundation is introducing Porter County GIVE Day. On this one day only, gifts to organizations that address homelessness or provide shelter services will receive matching funds through a pool of $50,000+ from generous sponsors.

  3. You may also give in person 8 am to 5 pm at The Times, 1111 Glendale Blvd. in Valparaiso.
