Police K9 Officers from Across the Midwest Invade Valparaiso

valpopoliceA Public Demonstration Scheduled for Wednesday September 16th

The North America Police Workdog Association (NAPWDA) will be conducting their fall workshop in Valparaiso the week of September 16th-20th. K-9 Officers from across Indiana and neighboring states will be attending the workshop and training along with their K-9 partners.

Many of the officers and their K-9 partners will be providing a public demonstration of the many duties they conduct on a daily basis. The demonstration will include drug searches, tracking suspects, apprehending suspects, building searchers, locating explosives and obedience. The public demonstration will be held at the Ben Franklin Middle School football field on the westside of the school. A police car procession will be conducted from the east side of the city to the event.

The public demonstration is scheduled for Wednesday September 18th at 5 p.m. It will take place at Ben Franklin Middle School located at 605 Campbell St. on the football field located on the west side of the school. Everybody is encouraged to attend and there is no charge to attend the event.
