South Shore CVA to offer survey for chance to win
The South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority and Valparaiso Community Festivals and Events will be collecting surveys during the 35th Annual Valparaiso Popcorn Festival on Saturday, Sept. 7.
Beginning at 7:00 a.m., attendees who visit the South Shore CVA’s booth and fill out the survey will be entered to win one of two sets of passes for a meet and greet with the Gin Blossoms. Surveys will be collected until 3:00 p.m., with the drawing immediately following. Winners will be able to meet and greet with the Gin Blossoms from 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Featured on the South Shore CVA Main Stage during the festival, attendees will enjoy live entertainment throughout the day. Opening the stage at noon, Highway Band will be performing until 1:15 p.m. Following the opening act, Lubriphonic will perform from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Local favorite The Crawpuppies will entertain attendees from 3:15 p.m. until 4:45 p.m. and will be opening for the headlining act Gin Blossoms, who will take the stage from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The Popcorn Festival will also feature the Popcorn Panic 5M run and 5K walk, the Orville Redenbacher Parade, numerous food and arts and crafts vendors and the Kids Poppin’ and Play Place.
