Chris and Lou have been performing throughout Northwest Indiana, Michigan and Chicagoland for 20 years in various bands of all genres combining their talents in 2003 while they played in the groups Acoustic X and Electric X.

In 2009, the duo continues to perform for audiences of all ages, bringing with them their influences from the past and present, and giving the audience a glimpse into the future.  The Valparaiso band Chris and Lou will be releasing their new original CD entitled Sustain at the Popcorn Festival on September 12, 2009!  Keep your eyes peeled for Chris Sulcer and Lou Samaniego this year at the fest! Since their merge in 2003, they have won several awards for their original music that include Best Acoustic Group of 2004 by Midwest Beat Magazine, Best CD of 2005 by the Northwest Indiana Times, and EMMY nomination in 2006 as co-producers for the NBC5 News Today promo "Everything Begins With Today", a project taken on soon after forming their jingle company, Commercial Music Group, Inc.  Chris and Lou's unmistakable guitar work and vocal harmonies are reminiscent of many of the great duos of the 20th century such as Lennon and McCartney, The Everly Brothers, and Simon and Garfunkle.
