Valparaiso Redevelopment Commission Visited the Career Center to Observe the High Tech Skills Our Students are Learning

Thanks to a partnership with Valparaiso High School and the Valparaiso Redevelopment Commission, we were able to upgrade computers in our CAD and Television Productions Class. Above, Angie Bohan, can be seen showing the Commission members what she can do with the new computers and her 3d modeling software.

Television Productions students, Sarah Jackett and Rachel Santos, are seen explaining the production process for a video development project to our visitors, who were very impressed with the composure and maturity of our student presenters.

Army Rock Wall Activity

Video Productions students always have their camera ready for a story.

Many students scaled the wall, sometimes surprising themselves. We expect the Rock Wall to revisit in the Spring for those students who failed to bring in parent permission slips this time.

Pictured below are students from the Portage High School HOSA Chapter who, along with their advisors, Mrs. Lynn Wilson and Mrs. Rhonda Doane, recently attended the HOSA Fall Leadership Conference. The 2-day conference was held at Camp Allendale in Trafalgar, IN. The students participated in a challenge ropes course and leadership workshops.
