Porter County Community Foundation Announces Second Round Recipients of Community Fund Grants

Porter-County-Community-Foundation-Neighborhood-PlaceThe Porter County Community Foundation awarded $93,900 in grant funds to 14 local organizations in its second round of 2014 Community Fund grants. The recipients are Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County, The Caring Place, Christian Food Pantry, Dunes Learning Center, Gabriel's Horn, Kouts Police Department, Lakeshore PAWS, Neighbors Corporation, Parents as Teachers of Porter County, Portage Resale Shop, Porter County Chapter Izaak Walton League, Salvation Army of Porter County, Taltree Arboretum & Gardens and Valparaiso Parks Foundation.

“It is because of the incredible generosity of our donors that we are able to invest back into our community,” said Barb Young, Porter County Community Foundation President. “Their support of the Foundation allows us to work to strengthen our nonprofit partners.”

The Porter County Community Fund is one of more than 340 funds administered by the Foundation that benefit a variety of charitable initiatives. Annually, the Foundation disburses nearly $2 million in scholarships and grants to nonprofit organizations.
