Porter County Community Foundation Receives Grant from DuPont Pioneer to Benefit Neighbors Place

Neighbors-Place-ext-homeThe Porter County Community Foundation recently received a grant through the DuPont Pioneer Giving Program that will be used to help fund the Neighbors Place project.

Through an application process, the DuPont Pioneer Giving Program awards grants to projects or programs which focus on food security, education, and community betterment.

Neighbors Place is a community-wide, collaborative effort to address the problem of homelessness through the offering of 18 studio apartment units for low income rental to single women with no children.

The funds will be used to maintain the Valparaiso facility as well as provide the means necessary to continue providing affordable housing units for single women in need.
