Learn about the History of Indiana State Forests
On March 14 at 2p, the Porter County Museum is excited to welcome Ball State University's History of the State Forests Project and historian and preservation activist Glory-June Greiff to speak about the State Forests of Indiana. While Porter County doesn’t boast a State Forest, Indiana has fourteen designated forests with a wide variety of recreational activities. Until Ball State’s project, this history had yet to be recorded. Visit the Museum to learn more about this recently compiled history.
