This Women's History Month, the Porter County Museum unveils Making Her Place, its first-ever women's history exhibit.
Visitors are welcomed to the Museum on Sunday, March 16 from 1-4p for refreshments from Blackbird Café and a brief talk introducing the inspirational stories from the exhibit. At 2p, the local Great Lake Sound Chorus will sing suffragette songs.
Too often, women's history has been a silent story. Yet throughout Porter County's history women have spoken through their actions. They have worked tirelessly to make their communities better places for all.
Making Her Place shares these inspiring stories. Join the celebration of women's history at the Porter County Museum, 153 S. Franklin St. in Valparaiso. For more information visit pocomuse.org. Discover how you can make your place.
