On April 30, 2011 the Porter County Sheriff’s Department will be holding a prescription medication drop off from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Residents of Porter County can drop off their old or unused medication at either the Porter County Sheriff’s Department or the Porter County Sheriff’s Department North Office. The Porter County Sheriff’s Department is located at 2755 State Road 49 in Valparaiso. The North Office is located at 326 W 700 N in South Haven.
All residents need to do is bring their unwanted medications to either site, and the Sheriff’s Department in partnership with the DEA will take care of safe disposal. Any questions can be directed to Cpl. Larry LaFlower at 219-477-3102 or PIO@porterco-ps.org.
