Porter County Triad Sponsors Annual Spring Forum

The Porter County Triad is sponsoring the Annual Spring Forum on Thursday, April 22, 2010, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.porter-county-triad This free event is open to area seniors, as well as individuals and organizations concerned about senior issues. Come hear about Fire Safety, Managing Falls, and see Assistive Devices that can help you at home. Other topics will include Wandering Awareness and how Triad’s Project Lifesaver can help, as well as other interesting topics. Enjoy a “Laugh for the Health of It”, led by the Visiting Nurses Association of Porter County. The Forum concludes with a free lunch and fellowship.

The Spring Forum will be held at Westchester Public Library’s Service Center, 100 West Indiana Avenue in Chesterton. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., and the Forum starts at 9:00 a.m. with lunch at 12 noon. Reservations are required as seating is limited for this free Forum and free luncheon. BACKGROUND: The Porter County Triad is a partnership of law enforcement, area seniors, senior health care providers, clergy, and social service organizations as well as state and local agencies dedicated to creating a sense of belonging among the most experienced and valued segment of our society--our seniors.

Porter County Triad provides services and information to seniors that will improve and enrich their lives. Some of Triad’s services include: senior educational forms, Project Lifesaver, emergency beacon distribution, expired medication collection and more. The Porter County Triad is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit service organization. Membership is free and open to any person age 18 or older who cares about seniors.
