Porter County’s Tourism Bureau Announces Staff Changes

Indiana-Dunes-Tourism-LogoIndiana Dunes Tourism, the official tourism bureau of Porter County, is announcing the promotion of Christine Livingston to assistant director, the hiring of Patti Boyer as operations director and the hiring of Jane Delligatti as partnership sales executive.

Livingston spent a year as niche market director and a year as marketing director before taking on the responsibilities of assistant director. In her new role, she will lead Indiana Dunes Tourism in the executive director’s absence. She will continue to have the responsibilities of marketing director -- including developing and implementing marketing strategies, and managing the website, advertising, database and photo library. She has a bachelor’s degree in organizational communication from Indiana University Northwest.

Boyer has 17 years experience managing accounts payable and accounts receivable and has spent 17 years as a computer software trainer. She also has 31 years experience in application development and 25 years of supervisory experience. She has an associate’s degree in computer technology and a bachelor’s degree in supervision from Purdue University. Her role at Indiana Dunes Tourism will involve supervision of front desk staff, accounts payable and accounts receivable, tracking grants and overseeing building maintenance.

Delligatti has three decades of sales, marketing and management experience in the region. She previously sold advertising for the Michigan City News-Dispatch and the Post-Tribune. She also was pre-press manager for the Post-Tribune. Delligatti also operated her own agency, Millennium Marketing, served as marketing director for Arnell Auto Group and was director of Lakeshore Area Regional Recovery of Indiana. She attended University of Iowa and Findlay College. Delligatti will sell print and online advertisements for Indiana Dunes Tourism.

Indiana Dunes Tourism Executive Director Lorelei Weimer said the new team has decades of experience in marketing, public relations, management, computer technology and sales.

The experienced team we have assembled is moving our organization forward in meeting our goals of encouraging visitation to Porter County and extending the stay of our current visitors,” Weimer said.
