Porter Health System Sponsors Kidney Early Evaluation Program (KEEP®) Screening

Porter Health System will sponsor an Kidney Early Evaluation Program (KEEP®) presented by the National Kidney Foundation. The screening will be held from 11 am to 3:30 pm, on Wednesday, March 9, at the Valparaiso Family YMCA, 1201 Cumberland Crossing, Valparaiso.

According to the National Kidney Foundation, the KEEP screening is for those at increased risk of developing kidney disease, such as individuals over the age of 18 with diabetes, high blood pressure or a family history of kidney disease.

During the KEEP screening, participants will have their weight and blood pressure checked. Additionally, medical professionals will collect blood and urine samples. A family practice physician will be on-site to review results with participants.
