Porter Health System’s Healthy Woman Program Presents “Fight the Epidemic of Childhood Obesity”

Healthy_Woman_porter_logoPorter Health System’s Healthy Woman program will present “Fight the Epidemic of Childhood Obesity” at 6 pm on Tuesday, Aug. 9, at the Valparaiso Family YMCA, 1201 Cumberland Crossing Drive, Valparaiso.

During the presentation, Nurse Practitioner Natalie Eddy will discuss childhood obesity and how it affects children’s health and self esteem. She will also share strategies on how to best treat and prevent this epidemic.

Porter’s Healthy Woman program is a free community resource designed to empower women with the knowledge and confidence to make informed healthcare and well-being decisions for themselves and their loved ones. Program benefits for members include monthly health and lifestyle presentations, health resources and communications.
