Porter Regional Hospital’s Center for Cardiovascular Medicine Hosts Free Community Open House

Center-for-Cardiovascular-MedicinePorter Regional Hospital is inviting the community to get a firsthand look inside its new Center for Cardiovascular Medicine during a free community open house from 9 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, Nov. 3. The Center for Cardiovascular Medicine is located on the west side of Porter Regional Hospital, with its own private entrance and parking.

The free open house will offer community members the opportunity to tour the innovative Center, see the new Cardiac Cath and Electrophysiology Labs, view the advanced cardiac diagnostic and imaging technology, and meet the Center’s skilled physicians and staff. Additionally, guests will be able to enjoy a heart healthy continental breakfast and receive free health screenings.

Referred to as a ‘heart hospital within a hospital,’ the Center for Cardiovascular Medicine houses all of Porter’s cardiovascular services in one convenient location. Built with efficiency and an improved patient experience in mind, the Center was designed to provide comprehensive evaluation, consultation, and medical and surgical management of diseases of the heart and circulatory system for the region’s growing population.

The award-winning Center has received the Get With The Guidelines Heart Failure Silver Award from the American Heart Association, Chest Pain Center Accreditation from the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care, Blue Distinction designation for Cardiac Care from Blue Cross Blue Shield and is a Certified Stroke Center by The Joint Commission. Additionally the Center houses the Center for Heart Valve Disease.

Supported with the latest in cardiac diagnostic and imaging technology, the Center boasts experienced members of the medical staff including cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons and interventional radiologists.
