The Valparaiso High School 400 meter free relay team of Maddie Simac, Mary Cobble, Sophie Lutz and Liz Schlichting turned in a finals time of 4 minutes, 36.33 seconds to help propel the Vikings past Michigan City on Tuesday.

Bailey Henderlong added a win in the 400 meter free for Valpo with a finals time of 5:09.96.

Erin Callaghan had an individual win for the Wolves, turning in a 1:25.23 time in the 100 meter breast event.

Valparaiso 109, Michigan City 76 (Boys Swimming)

Andrew Antonetti, Trevor Mahlmann, Tim Blue and Isaiah Parrish teamed for a win in the 400 meter free relay with a time of 3:46.90. Individual wins for the Vikings included Antonetti (100 meter back, 1:05.79), Alex Rastovski (400 meter free, 4:40.29) and Darian Low (100 meter breast, 1:13.28).

Tim Schoof earned a win for Michigan City in the 200 meter IM, turning in a 2:23.13 finals time.

Crown Point 44, Kankakee Valley 41 (Girls Basketball)

Hannah Albrecht had 20 points while connecting on seven field goals and six free throws to lead the Bulldogs past host Kankakee Valley on Tuesday. Abby Kvachkoff added nine for Crown Point, who improves to 10-6 on the season. Kvachkoff hit two three-point shots in the win.

Ashley Norberg had 10 points to lead Kankakee Valley (10-5).

Crown Point also prevailed in the junior varsity game, 35-24.

La Porte 81, South Bend Adams 64 (Girls Basketball)

Nicole Konieczny paced the visiting Slicers with 27 points while Kyleigh Kubik added 20.

Jaclyn Heath added four assists and three rebounds for La Porte, who improves to 16-1 on the season. The Slicers are ranked sixth in the latest Indiana Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA) poll.
