Samantha Chalmers was a winner for Lowell in the 100 yard backstroke event, clocking in a finals time of 1:20.09 to help her team earn the victory.

The Wheeler girls 200 yard medlay relay team of Alex Praschak, Gabi Gilliana, Rachel Metzger and Sydney Perry were the top finishers in that event with a finals time of 2:12.65.

Lowell 99, Wheeler 78 (Boys Swimming)

Frank Futia was the top diver on the evening for Lowell, which boasted the top three divers during the victory over the Bearcats. Futia had a 161.85 finals score.

Wheeler won the 200 yard medlay relay behind Brandon Bolde, Nathan Graf, Roberto Theiss and Jack Fekete, who clocked in a finals time of 1:50.10.

Marquette 27, Kouts 26 (‘C’ team basketball)

A three-point attempt at the buzzer by Kouts clanged off the iron and helped the Blazers hold on to the victory. Marquette will return to action on Monday, december 16 when they face off against East Chicago Central for a 5:30 p.m. tipoff at home.
